Ida C Lapi

Ida C. Lapi, 86, of Schenectady, died Sunday October 27, 2013 at Baptist Health and Rehabilitation Center, Scotia. Born in Pittston , PA. Ida was the daughter of the late Angelo and Helen Alfano Zanta and was a graduate of Nott Terrace High School. Ida was employed for 30 years as a typist for General Electric. She was a longtime member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, the MountCarmel Women's Society, the MountCarmel Rosary Society and the GE Women's Club. Ida is survived by her children; Joseph A. (Lori) Lapi of Middle Grove and Lucille Ivanuska of Stanley, Kansas, her siblings; Eleanor Costanzo of Rotterdam, Ray (Isabell) Zanta of Schenectady, Joseph Zanta of Guilderland, Helen (Rocco) Visconti of Rotterdam and Angelo (Joann) Zanta of Scotia, 3 grandchildren; Joseph Lapi of Middle Grove, Brian Ivanuska of Lawrence Kansasand Michael Ivanuska of Kansas City,Kansas; her great grandson Oliver Ivanuska;lifelong friend,Ann Lepri as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Ida was also predeceased by her sister in law Rose Marie Zanta and brother in law Charles Costanzo. Calling hours will be held Wednesday, October 30 from 9:30 to 10:30am at the DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home, 1605 Helderberg Ave., Rotterdam,followed at 11am by a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Mt.
