Hillary K Urban

Guilderland - Hillary K. Urban, age 38, a lifelong resident of the capital district, died unexpectedly on Saturday, May 13th, 2017. Born at Bellevue Hospital, Hillary was the beloved daughter of Donna B. Urban and Patrick J. Urban. She was raised in the loving community of Guilderland New York and was a graduate from Guilderland High School, class of 1996, and received her nursing degree from Maria College, class of 2006. Hillary spent her life helping others. Her passion and commitment to caring for those in their time of need was without bounds. A career nurse, Hillary possessed a calling to love, support and embrace all those around her. Through her life, Hillary enjoyed traveling, theatre and spending time with her family. With her nieces, nephews and all children around her, she was the source of adventure and fun, spending days at amusement parks, movies and all types of adolescent happiness. Even in her times of rest and recreation, she provided care. Spending several weeks in Honduras as a health care provider and pursuing advanced certification in her profession. Hillary lived a life helping others. Hillary lived her life surrounded by loving family, friends and animals. Her beloved nieces and nephews Lilia Urban, Caleb Urban, Braeden Gutowski and Bentley Gutowski, will always have memories of her boundless joy and passion for helping others. Her sister Julie (Urban) Gutowski, sister in-law Erika J. Macfarlane, her brother Tim and her brother in law Jamie Gutowski, forever will be changed by her loving nature. Her aunts, cousins and friends, who surrounded her with love and support. Her partner Andrew Stearns, his children, Ava and Aubrey, and their cherished dog, Gus. Most indelibly, her parents, who loved their daughter and will forever be thankful for the life that was Hillary K. Urban. Hillary is predeceased by her sister, Rita Elizabeth. WithHillary's work now done, her care provided, she leaves us. A visitation will be held on Friday, May 19th from 5-7pm at the DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home, 5216 Western Turnpike in Guilderland. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. On Saturday morning a prayer service will begin at 9:15am at the funeral home and will be followed at 10am at St. Madeleine Sophie Parish, 3500 Carman Road, where a mass of Christian burial will be celebrated. Interment will take place at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Schenectady.
