Hilde M (Huber) Nemeth

Rotterdam – Hilde M. Nemeth, 89, passed away on Saturday, September 12th, 2020. Hilde was born in Queens, NY to her parents, the late Carl and Martha (Bullwinkle) Huber. Educated in Queens, Hilde went on to work as a transit clerk for the Manufacturers and Traders on Wall Street in Manhattan. Hilde married her husband, Steve Nemeth Sr. on February 10th, 1951 and shortly after relocated to the Schenectady area where together she and Steve raised their 3 children. Hilde was a gifted homemaker. She enjoyed cooking and baking for her family and tending to her flower gardens. She was an avid cross stitcher and loved shopping at the malls and on QVC. Hilde leaves behind her devoted children, Linda Tofte, Steve Nemeth Jr. (Linda) and Cynthia Novakovic, beloved grandchildren, Tanya Warlik (Shawn), Stephanie Yauchler (Benjamin), Steve Nemeth III (Jenelle), Meagan Grayson (Michael) and Zachary Novakovic (Jennifer) as well as her adored great grandchildren, Paige, Dominick, Benjamin, James, Abrielle, Savannah, Austin, Brennan and Lucas. She also leaves behind one brother, Carl Huber. Hilde was predeceased in 2009 by her husband, Steve Nemeth Sr. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 15thfrom 11am-12pm at the DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home, 1605 Helderberg Ave., Rotterdam. A funeral service will follow at 12pm with burial taking place at Evergreen Memorial Park in Colonie.
