Helen (Ireland) Sturgess

Poughkeepsie – Helen (Holly) Sturgess; Nee Ireland, passed away on Saturday July 2nd, 2022, with her son Brian by her side. Born in Poughkeepsie, NY she resided there most of her life. Helen was the daughter of the late James and Nettie Ireland. Helen is survived by her daughter Robin Whispell, Brian (Tracey) Whispell, David (Jeanie) Whispell, her significant other Gene Orton, brothers Richard and Jeffrey Ireland, along with several grandchildren, great grandchildren and nephews. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her daughter Bobbilyn Sturgess. Per Helen’s wishes services will be private.
