Hazel Green

Rotterdam- Hazel Green, 94, at rest Sunday April 13, 2014. Hazel was born in Amsterdam and was a long time local resident. She was employed for many years with the Tobin Meat Packing Plant in Albany. She was a member of VFW Post 357 Hazel was the beloved wife of the late George H. Green; beloved mother of Peggy (Al ) Rotter ofSchenectady , Marge (John) Hladik of Rotterdam and Ginger (Robert) Chmielewski of Scotia and the late Barbara Brenneman; loving grandmother of13 grandchildren, 33great grandchildren and 13 great- great grandchildren. Hazel is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her siblings. Calling hours will be held Tuesday April 15 from 6 to 8 pm at the DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home, 1605 Helderberg Ave., Rotterdam. All are invited to a Wednesday 10am Mass of Christian Burial to be held at St. Gabriel's Church, 3040 Hamburg St.Rotterdam. Hazel's burial will follow in Sts. Cyril/Method Cemetery, Rotterdam.
