Harvey J Agostara

Harvey J. Agostara, 63, of Schenectady, passed away on Thursday, September 20, 2012. Harvey was born in Schenectady and was a graduate of Mont Pleasant High school. He worked in maintenance for several area companies and was last employed at the Guilderland Public Library retiring in 2012. He was a dedicated volunteer at the St. Luke's Church Food Pantry, was a huge animal lover and an avid and gifted gardener. Harvey was predeceased by his parents Amerigo and Nellie Bland Agostara. He is survived by his sister Arleen (Joseph) Sukup of Schodack Landing, his brother Vincent (Penny) Agostara of Schenectady, niece and nephews; Jamie Agostara, Matthew Agostara and Daniel Sukup and many cousins. Harvey's family would like extend special thanks to Linda Shartzer for her help and support. A calling hour will be held on Tuesday from 1:30- 2:30 pm at the DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home, 1605 Helderberg Ave. Funeral services will begin at 2:30 at the funeral home. Burial will be at St. John the Baptist Cemetery.
