Harold Mead

Harold R. Mead, 71 of Rotterdam entered into the arms of the Lord and his eternal rest on Saturday February 2 2013 after a long battle with cancer. He spent his last days at the Joan Nicole Prince Home of Scotia with the love of the wonderful staff and his wife and daughter. Born in August 29 1941 in Margaretville Ny he was the son of the late William amd Anna Mead. Her served in the United States Navy. During his stay in the Navy hewas stationed in Hawwaii and served onthe USS Bonefish Submarine.He was employed at General electric as a crane repair electrician and postion from which he retired. He was amember of the Rotterdam Elks and Eagles Club He enjoyed bowling golf and billards. He will be remebered for his sense of humor Besides his wife Marie he is surivived by his daughter Nicole Newcommb and her husband David, three sisters Shirley Grant, EllenGrey and Ginny Misner and one brother Jerry Mead. he was predeceased by his brother Donald. Funeral services will be held on Saturday Febraury 9 2013 at 1pm at the DeMarco Stone Funeral Home Inc 1605 Helderberg Ave Rotteram. Burial will be at Saratoga National at a later Date. Memorial donations maybe made to the Joan Nicole Prince Home 22 Glenview Drive Scotia And or Schenectady Hospice 1411 Union StreetSchenectady.
