He was predeceased by his wife Rose, after almost 70 years of marriage on October 4, 2025. He lived a long and meaningful life defined by love, faith, and devotion to his family.
Born in Manhattan, and raised in Queens New York, Richard and Rose moved to Endicott New York in 1955, where he began his career with IBM as an Electrical Engineer. He retired in 1992 and enjoyed his retirement years with Rose travelling with friends and cherished time spent with his children and grandchildren.

A man of deep faith, Richard was a very active member of Christ the King Parish in Endwell, New York, where he was commentator and Eucharistic Minister for many years. In retirement, he continued his service to others as a dedicated volunteer with “Faith in Action,” offering kindness and support to fellow seniors. He was recognized by the organization for his generosity and commitment.
Richard was an avid golfer, and early in his career at IBM, won the league championship a number of times. He enjoyed wood working and made many memorable, handcrafted gifts for his children and grandchildren. He had a passion for sailing and spent many happy days on the water aboard his boat, the “Lazy Susan” at Whitney Point and Otsego Lake. A favorite pastime of Richard’s was being outdoors and gardening. He had beautiful flowers and plants around the house and grew truly delicious vegetables in his backyard garden.
Richard was always willing to lend a hand, offer support, and put others before himself. He was honest, caring, humble and deeply faithful – a steady and reassuring presence in the lives of those who loved him. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by his family and friends.
