Rotterdam - Gregory Frank DeLorenzo, 76, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, July 23rd, 2026 with his entire family by his side. Born in Schenectady, NY on February 16, 1950 to Frank (Chal) and Jane DeLorenzo. He graduated from Mont Pleasant High School.
Greg began his career as a hairstylist at Bittersweet Boutique, the salon founded by his mother, Jane. More than a hairstylist, he became a trusted friend to generations of loyal clients who appreciated his kindness, humor, and dedication. After 50 years of faithfully carrying on his mother's legacy, Greg passed the salon to his sister, Rachael, who continues the family business. Greg was a longtime member of Liberty Church, formerly known as Calvary Tabernacle Church. Greg had a remarkable gift for making everyone feel special. He enjoyed the company of his closest friends. He loved being with his family and wanted nothing more. Greg was dedicated to his daily workouts and living an active life. Greg also loved to dance and found great joy and peace in listening to worship music, which reflected the deep faith that guided his life. He enjoyed fishing with his sons-in-laws. He took great pride in caring for and looking after his mother and father-in-law, Robert and Audrey Wade.
Greg is survived by his wife of 54 years, Crystal Roberta DeLorenzo.
His 4 children; Deanna (Mark) Nardini, Daniel DeLorenzo, Sabrina (Mark) Amedore, and Gregory Jr. (Jennifer) DeLorenzo. 14 grandchildren; Jessica (Zachary) Zeh, Shelby and Mark Nardini Jr., Santino, Daniella, Stella and Angelina DeLorenzo, Gianna (Christopher) Hamilton, Lorenzo, Mark Jr. and Sofia Amedore, Capria, Sicilia and Maddalena DeLorenzo. He is also survived by 2 great-grandchildren Kinsley and Zachary Zeh Jr.
Greg is survived by his brother, Frank (Lynn) DeLorenzo, sisters Jane DeLorenzo and Rachael DeLorenzo and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Greg is predeceased by his parents and sister Cheryl Kaczmarek.
Calling hours will be held Wednesday from 4-7 pm at DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home, 1605 Helderberg Ave., Rotterdam. Funeral services will be held at 10 am Thursday at Liberty Church 184o Albany St., Schenectady.
