Rotterdam – Grace J. Vojnar, 83, passed away Monday August 1, 2016 surrounded by her loving family after a long illness. Born in Schenectady she was the daughter of Steve and Mary Witczak Naparty. Grace graduated from Draper High School and lived in the Schenectady area her entire life. Grace will be remembered as a kind and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Her family always came first and she loved to cook for them especially Polish food. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren were the joy of her life She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Rudolf F. Vojnar, who she married on April 18, 1954. Her four children; Sharon Palmier of Colorado, Michael (Kathy) Vojnar of Florida, Christine (Frank) Hartman of Rotterdam and Thomas (Lisa) Vojnar of Delanson. Eight grandchildren; Danielle Parsons, Nicholas Palmier, Erica Palmier, Karly (Andrew) Ferguson, Bryan Vojnar, Nicole (Aaron) Lang, Matthew Hartman and Brittany Vojnar. Three Great grandchildren; Taylor Lang, Kaitlyn Grace Lang and Rylin Parsons. Her sister; Henrietta Trombley She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Along with her parents, Grace was predeceased by her brothers, Albert and Stanley Naparty and her sister, Eleanor Myers. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Ellis Hospital C4, Dr. Hani Shahata, MD and the Fresenius Niskayuna Dialysis Center for their expert and compassionate care. Visitation will be held Thursday from 9:30 am – 12 noon at DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home 1605 Helderberg Ave., Rotterdam. A prayer service will begin at 12 noon.
