Troy, NY - Glenn Clifford Reish, 73, entered eternal life on Sunday, September 18, 2016, at the Albany Stratton VA Medical Center. Born in Canandaigua, New York, Glenn was the son of the late Walter and Lena (Wilkinson) Reish. Glenn honorably served his country in the United States Air Force from 1964 to 1973, including the Vietnam War. Glenn worked as a skilled painter at the VA Medical Center in Canandaigua and was a past president of the SEIU. He also worked at various businesses in the Capital District before he retired at age 62. Glenn leaves behind his two children, Brenda Beman and Brett (Filomena) Reish, his cherished longtime companion, Aquilina “Cookie” Oquendo, his sister, Ellen Harroun (Stanley Clark), brother, Anthony (Loretta) Reish, and his much adored granddaughters, Amber Beman, Caterina Reish, Angelina Reish and Ella Reish. He also leaves behind his son-in-law, Colin Beman, several nieces and nephews, and his cockatiel, Polly. The family would like to thank the 8B Wing Staff at the Albany Stratton VA Medical Center and the C3 Wing Staff at the Van Rensselaer Manor in North Greenbush for their compassion and care they provided Glenn. Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Thursday, September 29, 2016, from 5:30-7:30 pm at the DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home, 5216 Western Avenue, Guilderland, with military honors being performed at 7:30 pm. A burial service will take place at Woodlawn Cemetery, 130 North Pearl St., Canandaigua, New York on Sunday, October 2, 2016 at 10:30 am.
