Gertrude M (Coppola) Coppolo

Gertrude Mary (Coppola) Coppolo, 86 years old, born May 31, 1928 to Pietro and Mariangela (DeSalvatore) Coppola of Schenectady.Gertrude died peacefully at her home in Niskayuna with her family by her side on Thursday, February 5, 2015 after an extended illness.She is the widow of the late Dominic L. Coppolo, who died in 1997, after 51 years of marriage.She is survived by her daughter, Marilyn Keyser of Niskayuna and her son Dominic (Lynn) of Cherry Valley, NY.Her granddaughter's Sharon (John) Barnes of Ormond Beach, FL and Christine (Shaun) Walsh of Peterborough, NH, and great granddaughter's Emily and Caitlyn Barnes and Ella Walsh.Her siblings Emilia (Patsy) Benny of Scotia, Iginia (Francis) Joseph of Leominster, MA, Pietro (Connie) Coppola of North Chelmsford, MA and Yolanda (Robert) Stepnowski of Schenectady, along with many loving nieces and nephews. Gertrude will always be remembered for her love of cooking and her collection of recipes and cookbooks. Family and Friends are invited to attend a Christian Burial Mass at St. Paul's the Apostle Church which will be held on Monday, at 11 am. Burial will follow at Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery in Niskayuna.
