Geremia (Tucci) Babin

Schenectady, NY-Mrs. Geremia (Jean) Babin, 87, formerly of Davis Terrace, most recently of Kingsway Arms Nursing Center, passed away peacefully on Thursday evening, March 26, 2015. She was born on August 24, 1927 in Schenectady, daughter of the late Pasquale and Antoinetta (Palmier) Tucci and educated in Schenectady schools. Her last employment was with the Mohonasen School District, Rotterdam. Early in life, Jean was predeceased by Aldino Ciancetta. She is also predeceased by her son Michael Ciancetta, and brothers, Rocco and Joseph Tucci.She was united in marriage to Alexander (Al) S. Babin, who preceded her in death after a wonderful 36 years of marriage. Survivors include her children, Gary (Mandy) Ciancetta, Mark (Mary) Ciancetta, Leslie (Michael) Goulet, Michael (Diane) Babin, Dennis Babin, and Alan Babin. Jean is survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, cousins, nieces, nephews, as well as a very special group of friends. Jean cherished all of her family and friends. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to a graveside memorial service commencing at 11 am on Thursday, April 2, 2015 at Memory Gardens Cemetery, 983 Watervliet Shaker Rd, Albany, NY 12205.Kindly send memorial contributions in her name to Animal Protective Foundation, 53 Maple Avenue, Scotia, NY 12302.
