Gerald A Farrington

Gerald A. Farrington Jr., 57, of Schenectady, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his fiancé andloving family, on Tuesday, January 20, 2015. Gerald was born in Schenectady and was a graduate of Schalmont High School.He received an Associates Degree in Electrical Engineering from Hudson Valley Community College and continued his education and training in Reno, NV.He was employed for many years with the IBEW Local #401 in Reno NV. Gerald was predeceased by his father, Gerald A. Farrington, who died in 2014. He is survived by his fiancé; Kathy Coon of Gansevoort, NY, his mother; Helen DeLuke Farrington of Rotterdam, one sister; Pat (Skip) Orologio of Pattersonville, three nephews; Nick (Sandi) Orologio, Ben (Brittany) Orologio and Adam (Kate) Orologio, three great nephews and one great niece, close friends; Bob and Sharon Malison and his "Poker Buddies" Bert, Bob, Tom, Zack and the late Ed. Gerald was a lifelong, avid Yankee fan and attended many Yankee games with family and friends. Calling hours will be held on Saturday morning from 8:45-10:45 am at the DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home, 1605 Helderberg Ave. followed at 11:30 by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Gabriel's Church. Burial will be at St. Anthony's Cemetery in Glenville.
