Gary J Hennel

Mayfield- Gary J. Hennel, 45, of Mayfield, died tragically, Sunday, October 5, 2014. Gary was born in Schenectady, the son of the late Roger E. and Barbara Martin Hennel. He was a graduate of Schalmont High School and SUNY Cobleskill. He was Co-Owner of the Stadium Golf Club. Gary had a strong passion for all things outdoors. He enjoyedhunting, fishing, snowmobiling, waterskiing, riding his Harley, and most of all, spending time with his friends and family on the Great Sacandaga Lake. Gary had a heart of gold and accepted people for who they were. He will be dearly missed. Gary was the beloved brother of Gregory R. (Michele) Hennel of Delanson and Julie H. (George) LaFontaine of Mayfield. He was the beloved uncle to 6 nieces and 1 nephew;Noelle, Dani and Devon Hennel, Taryn and Delaney LaFontaine, Jessica and Blaise Zalucki and was "Uncle Gary" to many. Gary is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and countless dear friends. A calling period will be held Friday, October 10 from 4 to 7pm at the DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home, 1605 Helderberg Avenue, Rotterdam. A Celebration of Life for Gary will be held Saturday, October 11 beginning promptly at 11am at the Stadium Golf Club, 333 Jackson Ave, Schenectady, NY.
