Rotterdam- Gail L. (Perrine) Chiachiaretta, 75, of Rotterdam, passed away peacefully at home on May 20, 2017 after a brief illness. Born October 21, 1941 to the late Bruce and Stella (Czebatoroski) Perrine, Gail grew up on Ballston Lake and graduated from Linton High School. She received her education in accounting from SCCC, and was employed by the NYS Department of Taxation and Finance until her retirement in 2001. Gail was a caring, supportive and selfless mother and grandmother who cherished her family and always put their needs before her own. She treasured the time spent with her grandchildren and loved attending their school functions and sporting events. She loved the power and the peace of the ocean, and had a particular fondness for Cape Cod, especially in the fall. She enjoyed golfing, baking and traveling with friends and family. She is survived by her two children, son John Chiachiaretta and his wife Shannon of Topsfield, MA, and daughter Lisa Hume and her husband Sean of Latham; her four beloved grandchildren, Joshua and Kyle Hume, and Connor and Camille Chiachiaretta; her two sisters, Carole Perrine and her longtime partner Ray Summers of Rotterdam, and Margaret Hebert and her husband Gerald of Ballston Spa; her two brothers, Howard Perrine of Florida, and Richard Perrine and his wife Katherine of Colorado; and many cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. We were blessed to have her in our lives, and she will remain forever in our hearts. The family wishes to express their heartfelt appreciation to Gail’s dearest friend, Judy Dagastino, for her love and support during Gail's illness. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9 am May 26, 2017 at St Paul’s Church Albany Street Schenectady. Interment will follow at Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery Niskayuna .
