Rotterdam- Frederick J. Priddle, 80, at rest Friday March 14, 2014. Fred was born in Schenectady, the son of the late James and Esther Priddle. He was a graduate of Draper High School (1954). Fred served his country in various capacities over his work career: serving in the Air Force as an Air Policeman, also retiring from the Army Reserves as a Staff Sergeant. In addition, Fred was employed as a Security Guard for the federal government at Rocky Point, Long Island and later for Brookhaven Hospital on Long Island. His memberships include: the Rotterdam District 2 Fire Dept. the Rotterdam Elks Lodge 2157 and the Helderberg Reformed Church. He was an avid NASCAR and Racing fan and loved to spend summers at his camp in Cooperstown. He was the beloved husband of the late Audrey Priddle; beloved brother of Gladys Warner of Rotterdam; beloved uncle of Lewis (Susan) Warner of Cooperstown, Marie (Eric) Stark of Scotia; beloved step father of Barbara (Carl) Zimmermann of Middle Island, N.Y. Fred is also survived by his great nieces and nephews, Christopher Warner and Kearny Warner, Joelle, Devin and Cody Stark, and Erica Stark and his step- granddaughter, Audrey Rose Zimmermann, and step-grandson, the late Michael Zimmermann. There will be no calling hours. A funeral service will be held Wednesday March 19, at 11 am at the Helderberg Reformed Church, 435 Route 146 Guilderland Center, N.Y. A 1:30 pm service with military honors will follow in the committal shelter of the Saratoga National Cemetery. Fred's family wishes to thank the staff of Capital Living and Rehabilitation Center, Cedar Section for their kind care of Fred during his time there.
