Frank B Stabinski

Rotterdam – Frank Benjamin Stabinski, 86, passed away on Saturday, January 28th, 2017 at Ellis Hospital with his family at his side. Born in Kulpmont, PA and raised in Elysburg, PA on his family’s farm, Frank was the son of the late Gabriela (Ambrose) and Piotr Stabinski, Sr. For 53 years, Frank co-owned Stabinski Brothers Builders and built beautiful homes with character and charm, along with his brothers, Joseph and Pious, and later his nephew, Peter. Frank had many passions including animals of all kinds, and in earlier years, enjoyed restoring automobiles. He enjoyed polka music, taking trips to casinos, and vacationing in Maine. He will be remembered as a caring and sensitive man and for the simple and good life that he led. Frank was predeceased by his wife, Marion (Jankowski) Stabinski and his siblings, Florence Bednarczyk, Peter Stabinski, Jr., Joseph Stabinski, Clara Okrasinski and Pious Stabinski. Another special person who shared Frank’s life for many years was his long time companion, Hazel Favata. He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his beloved sister, Gail Reilly of Mt. Holly, NJ, his niece, Joan Snyder, and his nephew, Peter Stabinski, as well as his caregivers, and friends, Diana Reed and Linda Czyzewski, who were very important to Frank’s well being and his outlook on life. He also leaves behind many beloved nieces and nephews and treasured friends. Calling hours will be Wednesday, February 1st, from 9:30-10:45 am at DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home, 1605 Helderberg Avenue, Rotterdam. A prayer service will begin at 10:45 am at the funeral home and will be followed at 11:30 am by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Gabriel’s Church, 3040 Hamburg Street, in Rotterdam.
