Frank J. Rossi Milpitas, CA -Frank J. Rossi, 60 - formerly of Schenectady, NY passed away Saturday, April 23, 2016 with his family by his side after a short illness.Born on May 17, 1955, son of the Beatrice (Mazzone) Rossi and the late Michael Rossi. Frank was a graduate of Mt Pleasant High School and Clarkson College of Technology, Potsdam, NY with a B.S. degree in electrical engineering. Frank also attended University of California Santa Cruz and obtained an advanced degree in Software Engineering.He also attended San Jose City College completing classes in laser, optics and vacuum technology. Frank was a test and quality engineer for consumer products, industrial systems and medical devices for various engineering firms in California and most recently was an independent consultant. Frank's interest included flying after he received his pilot's license.He also tutored high school students with projects such as robotics and volunteered assisting adults with job searches. Frank is survived by his mother, Beatrice Rossi, sister Sandra (Carl) Troiano, nephews Joseph Troiano and David Troiano.Also survived by extended family, Mary and Fred Schiazza, Mary Ann and Keith Cady and Maranda Bowers. Frank is survived by Aunts & Uncles, Sylvia Magnone, Louis and Gloria Mazzone, John & Patsy Jo Mazzone, many cousins and friends in Schenectady and California.Predeceased by grandparents, Carmela and John Mazzone and Mary and Frank Rossi. Calling hours will be held on Thursday May 5, 2016from 5:00 p.m. till 7:00 p.m. at the DeMarco Stone Funeral Home, 1605 Helderberg Avenue, Schenectady, NY 12306. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 am Friday May 6 ,2016 at Our Lady of Mt Carmel Church Schenectady.Interment will follow at St Cyril's Cemetery Duanesburg Road Rotterdam.
