Niskayuna - Frank J. Rispoli, in his life and beyond, is a very loved man. Gentle of soul, warm in heart and strong in convictions, Frank personified the word gentleman. Above all, he was beloved—as son, husband, father, pa, brother, uncle and friend. Frank, 81, endured a lengthy illness and finally came to eternal rest on Wednesday, July 20, 2016, surrounded by his loving wife of 52 years, Faye Falvo Rispoli and their children. A member of the Mont Pleasant High School graduating class of 1954, Frank was best remembered for his athleticism and amazing convertibles. An avid baseball player, Frank played for the Albany twilight league before settling into marriage and fatherhood. Frank shared his love of sport with his three children, Kelly Marie, Frank and Dawn Marie; never missing a game or meet, often coaching their youth teams and always cheering for their successes. For this he was known and respected throughout the Niskayuna & Scotia sports community. Frank worked for Suburban Propane as a sales representative developing and establishing solid relationships for the company. He retired in 1998 after 30 years of service. After retirement, Frank was often seen supporting his wife Faye with her Real Estate business, placing signage or greeting clients with his warm smile and a handshake. Frank was an avid bowler; bowling in several local bowling leagues and continued to bowl every week until he became ill. He was also a member of the "Thursday Breakfast Club", a group of retired gentlemen who grew up in the Mont Pleasant area and remained friends throughout the years. Frank was a communicant of Saint John the Evangelist Church on Union Street in Schenectady. He is survived by his wife, Faye Falvo Rispoli; his three children and their spouses, Kelly Marie and Joseph Lynch, Frank and Cheryl Rispoli and Dawn Marie and Sean Finucane; his seven grandchildren, Nick, Kate and Ryan Rispoli, Italia, Sean and Evangelina Finucane, and Julia Lynch; his brother Joseph Rispole and wife Rosemary; his brothers-in-law Br. Ron McCloskey PB and Russell McCloskey and wife Deborah; and several cousins, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Frank and Rose (Belive) Rispole; brother, Pasquale Rispole; and sister-in-law, Ferol McCloskey. Calling hours will be held Friday from 4-7 pm at DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home 1605 Helderberg Ave., Rotterdam. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 am Saturday at St. John the Evangelist Church. Entombment will follow at Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery.
