Frank A. Pugliese Sr.

ROTTERDAM - Frank A. Pugliese, Sr., 94, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday September 13, 2025. He was born in Schenectady on June 6, 1931 to the late Angelo and Mary Dominic Pugliese. After graduating from Nott Terrace High School, Frank joined the US Air Force and was honorably discharged from active duty in 1952. He then was in the Air National Guard, where he worked as an aircraft mechanic for 37.5 years in Glenville. Frank was a member of Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, where he served as a church usher and was a member of the American Legion. He enjoyed bowling in local leagues, was a cribbage and canasta card player, an award winning speedwalker, enjoyed vegetable gardening and fishing and loved ice cream cones. He always went to sporting events to support his kids. Frank was a fan of the Yankees and the Giants. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his beloved wife of 66 years, Norma Cagnina Pugliese, in 2021; his grandchild, Jessica Lynn Marion; his step grandchild, Carl; and his brother, Tom (Stella) Pugliese.
Frank is survived by his children, Sheila (Louis) Costello, Joseph (Robin) Pugliese, Donna (Brian) DiGiuseppe, and Frank (Graciela) Pugliese, Jr.; grandchildren, Jennifer, Jason (Jennifer), Kristina, Joe Jr., Angela, and Adeana; step grandchildren, Brian and Robert; great-grandchildren, RJ, Nathan, Charlotte, and Joey; his brother Bob (the late Judy) Pugliese; and many nieces and nephews. A special thank you to Frank’s health care aides, “his girls”.
A calling hour will be held on Saturday September 20th from 10 to 11am at Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, 210 Princetown Rd, Rotterdam, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11am. He will then be interred with military honors at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Colonie. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to your local VA. Arrangements by DeMarco Stone Funeral Home, Rotterdam.
