Duanesburg - Frank A. Czwakiel, 72, passed away Monday August 11, 2014 at home. Born in Albany, Frank was the son of Joseph and Catherine Perry Czwakiel. Frank served our country in the United States Air Force during Vietnam and retired as a Master Sergeant in 1987 from the US Air National Guard at the 109th Airlift Wing. Before retiring in 2005 he worked as a security guard for the Galesi Corp. in Rotterdam. Frank loved his country, woodworking and fishing. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Roseann (Fisher) Czwakiel, who he married on October 8, 1983. His six children; Francis "Joe" (Judy) Czwakiel of Gansevoort, Michelle Czwakiel of Schenectady, Jim (Blythe) Czwakiel of Schenectady, Monte E. Fisher of Mayfield, Duane W. (Mandy) Fisher of Amsterdam and Shannon Fisher of Pattersonville. His brother; Ted Nunn of Kettering, OH. His daughter-in-law; Nancy Fisher of Rotterdam Junction. Frank is also survived by 16 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Along with his parents He was predeceased by his son, Dean S. Fisher. Calling hours will be held Thursday from 9-11 am at DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home 1605 Helderberg Ave., Rotterdam. A funeral service will immediately follow at 11 am. Burial, with military honors, will follow at Saratoga National Cemetery.
