Schenectady- Frank E. Brucker Jr., 88, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 20, 2022. Born in Schenectady, NY, he was the son of the late Frank E. Brucker Sr. and Naomi Thelen, loving companion to the late Anna Montague. After graduating from St. Columba’s High School, Frank enlisted in the United States Navy where he served his country honorably from 1953 to 1957. He would then work as a letter carrier for the United States Postal Service in Schenectady for 31 years before his retirement in 1990. Frank was a parishioner of St. Madeleine Sophie Church. He enjoyed going on walks and fishing whenever he could. Every summer since 1977 he would spend time at Lake Pleasant. He cherished the time he spent with his family and friends. He is survived by his children; Michael (Debbie) Brucker, Mark (Joan) Brucker, Lynn (James) Simpson, and Matthew (Cheryl “Honey”) Brucker, his grandchildren; Adele, Michael, Miles, Dakota, Christopher, Daniel, Stephen, John, Kevin, Matthew, James, Jason, Michael, Coty, and Jacob, his 18 great grandchildren, his siblings; Gerald (Kathy) Brucker, and Lois Brennan, as well as many close friends and relatives. With his parents, Frank and Naomi and his companion, Anna, he is also predeceased by his grandson, Andrew, and his brother-in-law, David Brennan. Calling hours will be held on Friday, March 25, 2022 from 9am to 10am at the DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home, 1605 Helderberg Ave. Schenectady, NY 12306. A Mass of Christian burial will take place at 11am at St. Madeleine Sophie Church, 3500 Carmen Rd. in Guilderland. Burial will follow at Schenectady Memorial Park in Rotterdam.
