Schenectady - Frank J. "Bangy" Alfieri, 93, of Glenwood Blvd., passed away peacefully on Monday June 9, 2014. Frank was born in Schenectady on January 13, 1921; he was the son of Albert and Anna Macarello Alfieri. He graduated from Nott Terrace High School. On September 19, 1944 he married Ann Diodati Alfieri. In 1951 Frank opened the Admiral Cleaners on Albany St. In 1961, Frank and his wife Ann opened Campus Cleaners on Nott St. which they owned and operated for 22 years until their retirement in 1983. Frank is survived by his wife of 70 years, Ann Diodati Alfieri. His daughter, Carol Bartz of Glenville and his son, Michael Alfieri of Schenectady. His beloved granddaughter, Amy Bartz-Barilla (Robert) of Las Vegas, NV. Ann is also survived by a niece and several nephews. In addition to his parents, Frank was predeceased by his brother, Severino and his sister, Anna Ruggiero. Calling hours will be held on Thursday morning from 10:30-12 noon at DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home 1605 Helderberg Ave., Rotterdam.Funeral services will begin at the funeral home at 12 noon.
