Rotterdam- Frank D. Agresta, 84, at rest Sunday March 17, 2013. Frank was born in Amsterdam, the beloved son of the late Joseph and Rosalina (Pirfo) Agresta. He was a graduate of Wilbur Lynch High School, Class of 1946.He served in the U.S. Army from 1950 to 1952. Frank was a 1956 graduate of Hudson Valley Community College. He moved to Rotterdam in 1965, where he resided at the time of his death.He was a parishioner of St. Gabriel's Church. He was employed as an Engineer in the Large Motor Division in General Electric, Schenectady, retiring with over 30 years service. Frank enjoyed traveling to Las Vegas and Florida, coin collecting, spending time with his family and dining out. He and his wife spent many winters in Hollywood, Florida. Frank is the beloved husband of 56 years to Arlene Andolina Agresta whom he married on October 28, 1956; beloved father of Rosemarie (Jim) Agresta Trigger, Joanne "Micki" Agresta; loving grandfather of Adam and Alyssa Trigger; beloved brother of the late Anthony (Jennie) Agresta, Sophie Lathers, Vito Agresta, Carmella (Tony) Marcellino, Angeline (Gus) Petrucci, Daniel (Madeline) Agresta, Jean (Jack) Davey, Christine (Daniel) Fariello, Michael (Mary Ann) Agresta; beloved brother in law of Margaret Cetnar, Salvatore (Cleo) Andolina and the late Mary Jane Buanno. Frank is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Calling hours will be held Tuesday March 19 from 5 to 7pm at the DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home, 1605 HelderbergAve.,Rotterdam. Funeral services will begin Wednesday 9:15am at the funeral home, followed at 10am by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Gabriel's Church. Burial will be private.
