Francisco S Hernandez

Rotterdam- Francisco S. Hernandez, 79, at rest, Saturday December 13, 2014. Born in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico, Francisco was the son of the late Juan and Carmen (Saavadra) Hernandez.Francisco was employed for many years as a chef with the Albany Country Club and was later employed as a Crane Operator and in other capacities with General Electric in Schenectady. He loved to fish, garden and cook. He especially enjoyed cooking for his grandchildren and friends at the Edison Senior Apartments. Francisco was the beloved husband of almost 60 years to Tomasa (Roldan)Hernandez who died on March 28, 2014; beloved father of Frank (Mary) Hernandez, Roberto "Bobby" (Freda) Hernandez; all of Rotterdam and the late Nilda Fiore; beloved grandfather of, Rico (Krista) Fiore, Kathleen (Clarence) Davis, Roberto Hernandez Jr., Anthony Hernandez, Anthony Boilard, Aubrey (Carl) Stephens; doting great- grandfather of Macie and Jace Fiore, Alyssa and Lea Davis, Kaitlyn, Robert and Isabella Hernandez; beloved brother of Luz Maria Arocho, Eddie, Carlos,Francisca and Jaime Hernandez. Francisco is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and in-laws. He is predeceased by numerous brothers and sisters. A calling period will be held this Wednesday, December 17, 2014 from 10amto 12 noonat the DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home, 1605 Helderberg Avenue, Rotterdam. Those in attendance may follow in procession for burial in St. Cyril Cemetery, Rotterdam. Francisco's family wishes to give thanks to Anna from Ellis Hospital, A4, for her kind care of their father.
