Floyd H Davis Jr

Duanesburg - Floyd H. Davis Jr., Ph.D. (Doc), 81, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on January 26, 2013. Floyd was a long-time resident of Duanesburg. He taught at Duanesburg Central Schools for over 50 years and was active in Boy Scouts of America, the Duanesburg wrestling team, and enjoyed traveling. He was the son of the late Floyd Davis, Sr. and Elizabeth (Whalen) Davis, and the twin brother of the late Richard Davis.He is survived by his sister Barbara (Vernon) Richburg, his nieces Debbie (Chuck) Kayser, Cathy (Derrick) Oxentine, Donna (Jeff) Cunningham, and his nephew Michael (Kim) Richburg. He is also survived by his great nieces Christina and Kathleen, great nephews Brian, Christopher, DJ, Jonathan, Jon-Michael, Joshua, and Jack, and great-great nephews Logan and Aidan. Calling hours will be held Tuesday from 4-7 p.m. at DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home, 5216 Western Turnpike (just west of Carman Rd.) Guilderland. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Wednesday at Our Lady of Fatima Church, 1735 Alexander Rd., Delanson. Burial will be private.
