Florence S (Lucido) Francolino

Florence S. Francolino, 98, of Rotterdam, passed peacefully on Tuesday, May 23, 2017. Born in Wilkes- Barre, PA, Florence grew up in Amsterdam, NY. She worked at the General Electric Co. in Schenectady, the Big N stores in Rotterdam and Schenectady and later at the Children’s Day Care at the Schenectady YWCA. She enjoyed cooking, crocheting afghans for family members and bird watching. Florence was also a member of Abounding Grace Church in Rotterdam. Florence was predeceased by her husband, George P. Francolino, who died in 1968, her father; Joseph Lucido and two sisters; Gilda Capozzelli and Geraldine Donato. She is survived by her children; George J. (Annie) Francolino of Saratoga and Janet L. (Larry) Caban of Glenville, four grandchildren; Jennifer Lawrence of Schenectady, John C. Lawrence of Guilderland, Jordan G. Francolino of Saratoga and Julia R. Francolino of Saratoga, one great grandson; Anthony Brown and many nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held on Friday from 11 am- 1 pm at the DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home, 1605 Helderberg Ave. Funeral services will begin at the funeral home at 1 pm. Burial will follow the service at St’s Cyril & Method Cemetery.
