Florence E (Whaley) Cooper

Florence Elizabeth Cooper, 92, formerly of Rotterdam, passed away peacefully in her sleep, on Saturday, October 4, 2014, to join her beloved husband. Florence was born in Schenectady, the daughter of the late John and Florence Jerome Whaley. After graduating from High School, she worked as a bookkeeper at Myers Children's Shop in Schenectady. Florence was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was strong willed, but also kind and gentle. In addition to her parents, Florence was also predeceased by her beloved husband, Charles J. Cooper and her sister Rosalie Corbo. She is survived by her two children; Karen Reach and her fiancé, John Conigliaro and Wayne Cooper and his wife Louise, four grandchildren; Christopher (Mehna) Reach, Kevin (Sally) Reach, Nicholas Cooper and Pamela Cooper, three great grandchildren; Grant, Paul and Kaisa Mae Reach and two nephews, Mark (Kellie)Corbo and Paul Corbo. Funeral services will be private. The family requests, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to the City Mission of Schenectady, 425 Hamilton St., Schenectady, NY, 12305.
