Florence M. Coogan, age 87, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 2, 2026, at Teresian House Center. Florence was born on December 21, 1938, in Montpelier, VT to the late George and Pauline (Secour) Geoffrey.
In addition to her parents, Florence was preceded in death by her husband, John E. Coogan and her brothers, Andre, Raymond, Leo, and Marcel Geoffrey.
Florence worked for many years in the Information Technology Department at St. Peter’s Hospital in Albany, NY. Outside of her work, she loved the company of her dogs and traveling.
Florence is survived by her daughter, Kelley (Ken) Pratt, her grandchildren, Olivia and Jacob Pratt, her sisters, Claire Lavoie (George) and Jeannine Besaw, and several nieces and nephews.
A Calling Hour will be held on Monday, February 9, 2026, from 9:30-10:30 AM, at St. Madeleine Sophie Church, 3500 Carman Road, Schenectady, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will immediately follow at the church and interment will be at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Rensselaer, NY.
