Schenectady -Filomena B. Frisone, 98, of Schenectady, died peacefully on Friday, January 8, 2021. Born in Schenectady, Filomena was the daughter of the late Ralph and Giovanine CiasulloRiccio. She attended local schools and was a faithful member of St. Luke’s Church and its Rosary Society. In addition to her parents, Filomena was also predeceased by her beloved husband of 47 years, Carmen Frisone, who died on February 6, 1995, daughter; Donna Dobies, her sister Anna Riccio and brothers; Michael Riccio, Anthony Riccio, Peter Riccio and Angelo Riccio. She is survived by her children; Patrick (Ida) Frisone, Michael (Sandy) Frisone, son in law; Ronald Dobies, six grandchildren; John (Maria) Frisone, Paul (Tracy) Frisone, Christina Frisone, Michael (Jennifer) Frisone, Ronald (Katie) Dobies and Gregory Dobies, eight great grandchildren; Gianna Frisone, Gabriella Frisone, Samuel Frisone, Ella Dobies, Reese Dobies, Natalie Dobies, Maria Rose Frisone and Luke Anthony Frisone, sister-in-law Louise Demanovich, her two special nieces Marie Jane Riccio and Theresa Riccio, several other nieces and a nephew. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Anne MacDonald, Fil’s part time caregiver, for her dedication and excellent care. Calling hours will be private. Friends and family are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, 1 pm at St. Luke’s Church, 1241 State St. Burial will be at St’s Cyril & Method Cemetery in Rotterdam. Memorial donations may be made in Fil’s memory to the Animal Protective Foundation 53 Maple Ave. Glenville, New York 12302 or St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
