Eugene R Maliszewski

Eugene R. Maliszewski, entered into the hands of our lord on September 19, 2016. Born in Schenectady he was the son of the late Raymond and Veronica Maliszewski. Eugene and his wife Marie Were married on October 24, 2916 and enjoyed many wonderful years together. He was a devoted husband and wonderful father and grandfather. Eugene was employed as a security guard at the Knolls Atomic Power Laboratory for 40 years retiring in 1985. He served for many years as a shop steward for the local security guards union. He enjoyed gardening and was an excellent baker. He was best known for his apple pies. Eugene is survived by his wife Marie (Pepicelli) Maliszewski ,a daughter Cheryl (Michael) Armstrong of Rotterdam, a granddaughter Lauren Armstrong of Rochester and a grandson Jason Armstrong of Schenectady brother in law Joseph Biega and sister in law Helen Maliszewski both of Schenectady several nieces and nephews and a brother Richard Maliszewski. He was predeceased by his sister Helen Biega and brothers Matthew, Edward and Leonard. At the request of the family there will be no calling hours. Interment will be at Saratoga National Cemetery. The family would like to extend their deepest appreciation and heartfelt gratitude to all the staff at the Vermont Veteran’s Home in Bennington VT for the excellence care given to Eugene during his residence there. The staff was wonderful to him and went above and beyond to enhance the quality of his life this last year. Thank you all so very much.
