Ethel Weakley

Mariaville- Ethel Weakley, 88, passed away on Wednesday, October 28, 2020. Born in Central Bridge, NY, she was the daughter of the late James Beacraft and Ruth Jones. She was married to Richard E. Weakley. They were happily married for 65 years. She graduated from the Schoharie Central School District. She was a devoted mother and wife, and always took care of her family and home through cooking, cleaning, and being a reliable seamstress. She enjoyed travelling with her husband around the country, visiting casinos, doing crosswords and other puzzles, walking, and most of all keeping busy each and every day. She is survived by her sons; Dennis (Donna) Weakley Sr., and Jeffrey Weakley, her grandchildren; Dennis Weakley Jr., Zachary Weakley, Cory Weakley, and Craig Taber, her great-grandchildren; Abigail and Owen, her siblings-in-law; Raymond (Joyce) Weakley, Emma Wilson, Joan Czernis, Jeanette (James) Swanker, Gene Weakley, James Weakley, Geraldine (Fred) Briggs, Diane (James) Jones, Judy (Gene) Yauchler, Sue Weakley, and David (Delores) Weakley, as well as many loving nieces, nephews, and dear friends. She is predeceased by her loving husband, Richard, her parents, James and Ruth, her son, Richard “Ricky” Weakley Jr., her siblings-in-law; Olive Mergenthaler, Gary Weakley, Carol Weakley, and Roger Weakley. Calling hours will be held on Monday November 2, 2020 from 10am-12pm at the DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home, 1605 Helderberg Ave., Schenectady, NY 12306. A funeral service will follow at 12pm. Ethel will be laid to rest at Schenectady Memorial Park Cemetery.
