Esther R (Decesare) Miller

Esther R. Miller, 84, of Rotterdam passed away at home surrounded by her loving family. Esther was born in Schenectady and was a graduate of Mont Pleasant High School. She was employed as a housekeeper for over 30 years with the General Electric Co, and retired in 1994. She loved to cook, and was very good at it. She enjoyed doing puzzles, gardening and spending time with her family. She was a member of Our Lady Queen of Peace Parish in Rotterdam. Esther was predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Maria LaCova DeCesare , her brothers and sisters; Carmela Bonanno, Nicholas DeCesare, Angela DeCesare and Jack DeCesare and her step son, John T. Miller IV. She is survived by her husband of 47 years, John T. Miller III, her daughters; Laura Shambo and Deborah Van Wormer, both of Rotterdam, her step daughters; Lois Stack of Ballston Spa and Carol Suhocki of Ft. Myers, Fla., 9 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be private. Burial will be at St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
