Ellen Donato

Ellen Donato, 87, of Guilderland passed away peacefully early morning Monday, September 2, 2024 with her loving family by her side.
She was born on November 6, 1936. Daughter of Clarence Black and Alice Maguire Black.

She was happily married to the love of her life, Mr. Ralph Donato Sr.

Ellen was a dedicated wife, loving mother and gifted homemaker. In her spare time, she enjoyed crocheting blankets for the needy, diner hopping, and spending time with family.

She is survived by her children Teresa (Peter Sr.), Gil, and Ralph Jr. (Denise) as well as her sisters Mary, Mildred, Madeline, and Margaret. She is also survived by her grandchildren Giulia, Matthew (Kyra), Peter Jr. (Nayara), and Stephanie (Jimmy) as well as her beloved great grandchild Brooklyn among numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family will receive relatives and friends on Friday, September 6, 2024 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at DeMarco Stone Funeral Home 1605 Helderberg Ave, Rotterdam, NY 12306. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Saturday September 7, 2024 at 10:00 am at Christ the King Church 20 Sumter Ave, Albany, NY 12203. Ellen will be laid to rest at St Cyril’s Cemetery immediately following all services.
