Ellen Marie (Dobler) Cervera

Ellen Marie Cervera was born on November 10th, 1943 to the late Raymond and Eva Dobler. She passed away August 14th, 2018 after a courageous fight and surrounded by her family. Ellen was a lifelong resident of Rotterdam and a graduate of Draper High School, class of 1962. She lived in Rotterdam and raised her children there with her loving husband of 55 years, Anthony L. Cervera. Ellen was predeceased by her two siblings Raymond (Carol) and Faye Dobler. She was also predeceased by her In-laws, Guy and Jean Cervera, who always thought ofEllen as their own daughter. She is survived by her husband Anthony L. Cervera of Rotterdam, her 4 children, Michele and Greg Hennel of Delanson, Anthony and Heather Cervera of Delanson, Marie and William Freiermuht of Schenectady, Raymond and Carmella Cervera of Mariaville. Ellen had 10 Grandchildren who she loved very much, Nicole and Lucas Cook, Noelle and Will Kuhl, William Freiermuht Jr., Danielle Hennel, Dylan Cervera, Adam Cervera, Devon Hennel, Giovanni Cervera, Anthony Cervera Jr. and Olivia Cervera. She also had two Great Grand Daughters, Jayden Bordeau and Hadley Kuhl. Ellen and Tony had many lifelong friends who were like family to them. There was nothing more important to her then spending time with her family. She had a great love of sitting and watching the birds play on her bird feeders. She worked for many years as a part of her son in laws family business, Stadium Golf Club, waitressing and greeting the morning golfers. She will be truly missed by everyone who knew her and loved her. Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 3-6 pm at the DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home, 1605 Helderberg Ave. Funeral services will begin on Monday, 8:15 am from the funeral home followed at 9 am by a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church. Burial will be at a later date. The Cervera Family would like to thank the countless nurses and hospital staff at Albany Med and hospice for taking such great care of Ellen over the last 8 months.
