Ella Mae (Sherman) Borogen

Ella Mae Borogen passed away, after a second battle with cancer, at her home on Sunday, March 26, 2017. Born in Schenectady, Ella was the daughter of the late Richard and Wilhelmina Pendt Sherman. Ella was employed at Glendale Nursing Home for many years before she retired. She was a member of Trinity Reformed Church in Rotterdam. She enjoyed looming and spending time with her family. In addition to her parents, Ella was also predeceased by her son Lawrence E. Kirker Jr. She is survived by her children; Sue Lucas (John) of Florida, Richard E. Kirker (Brenda), Wilhelmina Aini (John) of Rotterdam, George D. Kirker Sr. (Denise) of Glenville, Alyce Dariano (Jerry) of Glenville and Mary Marr (Jim) of Bellevue, her sister; Rose Jorgenson (John) of Florida and her brother; Frank Antalek (Diana) of Florida. Ella is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren who were the apple of her eyes. A calling hour will be held on Wednesday from 11 to 12 noon at the DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home, 1605 Helderberg Ave. Funeral services will begin at the funeral home at 12 noon. Burial will be at St. Anthony’s Cemetery in Glenville.
