Guilderland – Elizabeth “Betty” DiGesare, 86, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday November 17, 2017 with her loving family by her side. Born in Watervliet, Betty was a longtime member of Calvary Tabernacle Church and more recently at Bethel Full Gospel Church. When her husband Leo started his Plumbing & Heating business shortly after they were married, Betty assisted him, and her greatest contribution was praying for the phone to ring with new business and customers, and the Lord always provided in abundance. Her husband of 65 years, Leo, passed away in 2015. She is survived by her hers 3 sons; David (Susan) DiGesare, Dennis (Rosebud) DiGesare and Michael (Annette) DiGesare. Her sister; Esther (Donald) Turner. 10 grandchildren; Alicia (Paul) Amedore, Jaimee (Sean) Willcoxon, Jennifer (Greg) DeLorenzo, Ashley (Paul) Hodorowski, Dendi (John) Hodorowski, Dana (Gregory) Van Dyke, Dennis (Vanessa) DiGesare, Michael (Kourtney) DiGesare, Matthew (Briana) DiGesare and Marisa (Christopher) DiCocco. She is also survived by 29 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Along with her husband she was predeceased by her parents, Hannibal and Clara (Giuliano) Franco, brother, Guy Franco, sister, Theresa DiGesare and her niece, Sharon Caputo. Calling hours will be held Monday from 4-7 p.m. at DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home, 1605 Helderberg Ave., Rotterdam. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday at Sonrise Bible Church, 1082 Dunnsville Rd., Rotterdam. Burial will follow at Evergreen Memorial Park, Colonie. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Betty’s memory to Bethel Full Gospel Church Building Fund, 3669 Guilderland Ave., Schenectady, NY 12306.
