Elaine R (Miranda) Delaney

Rotterdam - Elaine R. Delaney, 82, of Fisher Rd., passed away suddenly at home on Monday November 16, 2015. Born in Schenectady, Elaine was the daughter of Alfred and Helen Aurigemma Miranda. She was a 1952 graduate of Mt. Pleasant High School and then went on to graduate from the Mildred Elly Secretarial School. Elaine was a data entry operator for the New York State Department of Labor retiring in 1994 after 21 years of service. She was a communicant of St. Madeleine Sophie Church. She is survived by her husband, Thomas. Her two sons; Thomas P. (Tracy) Delaney of Schenectady and Christopher P. (Ann) Delaney of Duanesburg. Two daughters; Teri Warner (Bob Shufelt) of Harrisonburg, VA and Patricia E. Delaney of Rotterdam. Six grandchildren; Joshua, Michael, Kelsey, Ryan, Patrick and Katelyn. Three great grandchildren; Keegan, Trei, Chayse and her granddog, Max. A brother, Richard Miranda of Port Charlotte, FL. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews and her close friend, Antoinette DiGenova. Along with her parents, she was predeceased by her sisters, Mildred Forehlich and Alice Roberts and her brother, Alfred Miranda. Calling hours will be held Thursday from 5-7 p.m at DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home 1605 Helderberg Ave., Rotterdam. Funeral services will begin 9:15 a.m Friday at the funeral home followed by 10 a.m Mass of Christian Burial at St. Madeleine Sophie Church 3500 Carman Rd., Guilderland. Burial will be at Saratoga National Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in Elaine's memory to the charity of one's choice.
