Elaine E. Chase, 95, of Guilderland, passed away on Saturday, January 6, 2018 at the Teresian House in Albany. Born in Glens Falls, NY, Elaine was the daughter of the late John and Louise Plue. Elaine will be remembered for her love of reading, yard work and crossword puzzles. Besides raising her own three children, she lovingly helped raise Casey and Cody. Although she leaves a hole in our hearts, we know she is in a gentler place in the arms of our Lord. In addition to her parents, Elaine was also predeceased by her beloved husband, David “Bing” Chase, her brother; Jack Plue and sisters; Gloria Closson, Sally Zeno and Karen (Bucky) LaPoint. She is survived by her children; David (Shirley) Chase of Texas, Diane (John) Grosso of Staatsburgh, NY, and Kevin (Lianne) Chase of Guilderland, her grandchildren; Kathy McKullough, Kris Karl, Kelly Brown, Elaine Denver, Angela Krzminski, John Grosso, Vanessa Grosso, Casey Chase and Cody Chase. She is also survived by 19 great grandchildren, 16 great- great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and her dearest friends; Patricia Chase, Lori and Dwight LaDu. Calling hours will be held on Saturday January 13th, from 1-4 pm at the DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home, 5216 western Tpk. (Rt. 20) in Guilderland. A graveside service will be held in the spring. The family would like to thank the very caring staff at Teresian House for the love and kindness they have provided to Elaine during her stay with them. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Teresian Foundation, 200 Washington Ave. Ext. Albany, NY 12205, or to the Vascular Birthmark Foundation, PO Box 106, Latham, NY 12110.
