Eileen M (Capen) Dean

Eileen M. Dean, 55, of Guilderland passed away on Thursday, March 23, 2017 at Albany Medical Center after a battle with cancer. She was a strong spirited woman who fought hard while maintaining hope, faith, and a positive attitude. Eileen formerly worked as a Chief Court Clerk for the Town of Guilderland. She is survived by her children Andrea Witham (Stephen) of Guilderland, son Michael Dean and partner Scott Lemme of Northampton, MA, daughter Caitlyn Dean of Altamont, former husband, Stan Dean of Altamont, mother, Ruth Capen of Arlington, MA, sister Lauren Murphy (Stan) of Milford, ME, Douglas Capen of Dunedin, FL, sister Jane Bliss of Pasadena, CA, many nieces and nephews, and her beloved pet, Kahlua. Eileen was also predeceased by her father, Walter Capen of Florida. Eileen’s family wishes to express their sincerest gratitude to all those who came to her aid during this ordeal, particularly Kathy Camardo and Cindy Wadach as well as the staff at Albany Medical Center and NYOH. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, March 26th, 2017 from 12:00PM – 2:00PM with a service to follow at DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home at 5216 Western Turnpike, Guilderland, NY. In lieu of flowers, Eileen’s family requests donations be made in her name to the Hudson Valley Humane Society or the HopeClub of the American Cancer Society.
