Edward S. Beggs Sr. died Friday, July 12, 2013 at Glendale Nursing Home, he was 86. Edward served in the US Army during WWII and was awarded a Purple Heart and a Bronze Star. He was honorably discharged as a Sergeant. Edward was employed as a Security Guard at General Electric in Schenectady. There will be no services. Burial will be at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery in Schuylerville.
