Edna E (Gilbert) Paeglow

Rotterdam - Edna E. Paeglow, 88, of Rotterdam and Ft. Myers, FL. passed away suddenly Tuesday November 10, 2015 in Ft. Myers. Born in Lisbon, NY, Edna was the daughter of Alexander and Edith Bouchard Gilbert. Edna was a pediatric nurse at the Brady Hospital in Albany before becoming a full-time homemaker, wife and mother. Edna travelled extensively in all 50 states as well as Europe and enjoyed multiple Caribbean cruises. Edna was an enthusiastic, award winning artist, whose work was displayed at many competitions and art shows. She also enjoyed outdoor activities, gardening, reading and collecting dolls. She is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Joseph. 4 children, Sherry (the late Duane) Renzi, Pam (Eric) vonWiegen, Gray (Christine) Paeglow and Wendy (David) Mongillo. 4 grandchildren; Aja Rae, Kimberly (Ryan) Krisolofsky, Christopher Paeglow and Jade vonWiegen. 1 niece and several nephews. Calling hours will be held Sunday from 5-7 p.m. at DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home, 1605 Helderberg Ave., Rotterdam. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Monday at the Funeral Home.
