Edna Mae Coons

AMSTERDAM- Edna Mae Coons, 75, Amsterdam, NY, died September 29 , 2023 by nephews Bob, Dave, and Bill, nieces Beth and Della Mae, and friends June and Darlene, she was predeceased by her kind, loving, intelligent and fiercely dedicated and protective mother, Laura Kilmartin Dickinson, her elderly father, Arthur, and four half-siblings (Ken, Art, Hank and Retta). Edna Mae did not have an easy life. Born cognitively impaired, but not stupid, she appreciated good puns, enjoyed laughing, helping with chores and loving her chickens on the Knight Road, Delanson farm. Her joys were birds, basketball, crafts, coloring, dancing, food, desserts, and Johnny Cash, Elvis and Adam Lambert. Her last several years were spent in the loving care of the Lexington ARC McQueen staff. Donations may be made to The Arc Lexington, 127 E State St, Gloversville, NY 12078-1204. Interment will be in the Old Fort Cemetery, Schoharie
