Rotterdam-Duane Renzi, 61, at rest on Thursday, May 29, 2014, after a courageous battle with cancer. Duane was born in Schenectady and was a graduate of Draper High School. After high school, Duane honorably served in the Army. He was a hard working, extremely conscientious employee with General Electric for 17 years and VonRoll in Schenectady until his retirement. Duane was an avid pool player who had a passion for the game and was a fierce competitor in numerous tournaments in Las Vegas. A Harley Davidson enthusiast, Duane enjoyed long relaxing rides in the country with his wife, Sherry. Duane was the beloved husband of 41 years to his high school sweetheart, Sherry (Paeglow) Renzi; beloved father of Kimberly (Ryan) Krisolofsky; brother of Garry, Jeff and Carol Renzi; son of Carmen Renzi and the late Eleanor Zadrozny. Duane is also survived by his in-laws, Joe and Edna Paeglow, and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Calling hours will be held Thursday, June 5, from 5 to 7pm at the DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home, 1605 Helderberg Avenue, Rotterdam. Duane's request for his final resting place will be honored privately at a later date at the convenience of the family.
