Douglas L Pitt

Rotterdam – Douglas L. Pitt, 58, passed away on Saturday, February 11th, 2017 with his loved ones by his side. Born in Schenectady, Doug was the son of the late Alton and Carmeta (Jones) Pitt. For many years Doug worked as a construction worker around the area. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping. Besides his parents, Doug is predeceased by his siblings, Alton Jr., Robert and Gerald. Doug leaves behind to cherish his memory his sons, Richard (Jolene) Pitt and Joseph Pitt (Tammy), and his grandchildren, Nicholas, McKenzie and Gabriella, his fiancé and long time companion, Elizabeth LaMothe, as well as his siblings, Loretta (Alvin) Morris, Thomas (Jane), Lucinda Lawyer, Terry and his twin, Dean (Barb) and many nieces and nephews. At Doug’s request, a private service and family gathering will take place at a later date.
