Dorothy M Miakisz

Schenectady - Dorothy M. Miakisz, 92, passed away peacefully at home on March 9 2015. She was born in Schenectady on October 27, 1922 a daughter of the late Justin and EmmaMiakisz. Dorothy was a graduate the former Nott Terrace School and resided in Schenectady her entire life. She was employed 42 years with General Electric as a secretary until her retirement. Dorothy was a member of the GE Quarter Century Club, St Luke's Rosary Society and a member of St Luke's Church Schenectady. She is survived by many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents Dorothy was predeceased by her sisters and brothers , Florence, Helen, Sophie, Thomas, Joseph and John. Family and friends are invited to call at the DeMarco Stone Funeral Home Inc 1605 Helderberg Ave Rotterdam on Saturday March 14, 2015 from 10 am to 12 pm. Funeral services will begin at 12 pm at the funeral home.
