Guilderland- Dorothy J. Becker, 92, formerly of Bayberry Road Rotterdam Passed away at Our Lady of Mercy Nursing Center on December 30 2013. She was born in Amsterdam on August 14 1921 a daughter of the late Albert and Stella Dylong. She was high School graduate of Amsterdam High. Dorothy married her beloved husband John on January 31 1942. He survives at Our Lady of Mercy Nursing Center. For 38 years until her retirement Dorothy was employed as a secretary at GE in the Large Steam and Turbine Division. Her family lovingly remembers her as a devoted wife mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Dorothy is survived by her husband John, her daughter Patricia and her husband John Nicolella of Rotterdam, Son William and his wife Georgina McCabe of Toronto, Her grandchildren John M.(Christine) Nicolella of Delanson, Scott (Cathy) Nicolella of Delanson and Tracey Nicolella of Princetown, Adam Becker and his wife Denise Roy, Mark and his wife Ana Rico and John Aaron and his wife Lyla Medos and 7 great-grandchildren Rebecca, John C. ,Mark ,David , Scott Jr and Arianna Nicolella all of Delanson, and Jake Sanford of Princetown and a nephew Leo Romsiewicz and his wife Susan of Atlanta. Dorothy was predeasced by her siblings Mary Romsiewicz ,Winifred Dylong and Chester Dylong. Family and friends are invited to call atOur Lady Queen of Peace Princetown Road Monday January 6 2014 from 9:30 am to 10;30 am.A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 am at the church. Interment will follow at St Cyril's Cemetery Duanesburg Road Rotterdam. Memorial donations maybe made to St Jude's Children Research Hospital, The American Diabetes Association and the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
