Dorothea E "Dotty" Gagliardi

Rotterdam-Dorothea E. "Dotty" Gagliardi, beloved wife, mother, grandmother passed into eternal life with the Lord on Wednesday, December 24, 2014 at the age of 96. Born in Schenectady, Dotty was the beloved daughter of the late William J. and Helen E. (Pettit) Connors. A homemaker, Dotty was a loving, considerate person, who enjoyed raising her large family. Besides taking care of her family, Dotty was employed as a telephone operator with New York Telephone and later at St. Clare's Hospital. Dotty was the beloved wife of 33 years to Thomas C. Gagliardi; beloved mother of Sarah Cap, Denise (Alan) Armstrong, Virginia (Paul) O'Dell, Susanne (Ken) Gagliardi, Debra (James) Jevitt, Leo (Lynn) Gagliardi, Dorothy (Joe) Friello, Vicki Vachon, Carolyn Cannafax and James Hubel. Dotty is also survived by 29 grandchildren, 7 great - grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews and cousins. Calling hours will be held Sunday, December 28 from 4 to 6 pm at the DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home, 1605 Helderberg Avenue, Rotterdam. Funeral services will begin Monday 8:15 am at the funeral home, followed at 9am by a Mass of Christian Burial at the Church of St. John the Evangelist, 812 Union St., Schenectady. Dotty will be buried in Memory Gardens, Colonie.
