Doris (Barber) Spoor

Glens Falls- Doris Spoor , 87, formerly of Rotterdam Passed away at her home in Glens Falls on October 11, 2014 after a brief illness. She was born in Quaker Street, NY a daughter of the late Ervin and Lucy Norman Barber. Doris attended Delanson schools and was later a graduate of the former Mt Pleasant High School. For 25 years she was employed as a cashier for the local A&P, was employed as a clerk for Schenectady County Social Services for eleven years, and was a member of the Rotterdam Democratic Club and a 40 year plus member of the Rotterdam District 2 Ladies Auxiliary and a member of the Woestina Young at Heart Club. She married her beloved husband Leroy Spoor who predeceased her on February 12 2004. Doris is survived by her grandchildren Andrew, Jon and Barbara Spoor, step grandchildren Joanne & Theodore Rozell, Dan, Ken Campney,her daughter in law Donna Spooras well as a group of great grandchildren Dylan Rozell ,Zoey Spoor and others. Doris was predeceased by her beloved son Leroy in 2005. Family and friends are invited to call at the DeMarco Stone Funeral Home Inc 1605 Helderberg Ave Rotterdam on Thursday October 16 , 2014 from 6 pm to 8 pm. . Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on FridayOctober 17, 2014 at 11 am. Entombment will follow at Schenectady Memorial Park .
